The Makara Foundation partnered with Girls on the Run of Hunterdon County for this year's Run of the Mill 5K event.  Girls on the Run is a life-changing, non-profit prevention program that uses the power of running to help prepare preteen and early teen girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.  Our Hunterdon County council was launched in the fall of 2006 with a generous grant from the Makara Foundation, and with the Foundation's continued financial assistance, has grown to include programs in 11 locations throughout the county.  Proceeds from this year's Run of the Mill helped to ensure the continued expansion of Girls on the Run programming to serve an increasing number of girls in Hunterdon County and beyond.  To learn more about Girls on the Run, go to www.gotrhunterdon.org.

Run-of-the-Mill is a 5K race beginning and ending at the Prallsville Mill in Stockton, NJ.

Race Packet Pick-Up:  Starts at 7 a.m.
Start time: 9:00 am

The course follows the tranquil Wickecheoke Creek through one of the most scenic areas of Hunterdon County.  A two-mile walk along the Delaware River is also available for those who prefer a slower pace.
