Run-of-the-Mill 5K Race

Over the past five years The Susan and Chelsea Makara Foundation has raised more than $100,000 with its annual RUN OF THE MILL 5K fundraiser held at the Prallsville Mills in Stockton.  We use this money as outlined in our mission statement by supporting and funding activities and programs that center on self-respect, academic excellence, and athletic achievements. 

We are truly honored to be the Founding Sponsor of the Girls on the Run program of Hunterdon, Bucks, and Warren Counties.  Thanks in part to Girls on the Run we have managed to bring together more than 750 participants in our annual race - what a thrill that so many of our friends and neighbors choose to join us each year and support us so wholeheartedly.

With the number of participants growing each year we have reached capacity on our beautiful 5K course.  The Makara Foundation Board of Trustees has decided to “pass the baton” as race host to the Girls on the Run organization.   For details on the upcoming Spring 5K please visit the Girls on the Run website:   www.gotrhunterdon.org
