The 3rd Annual 
  Run-of-the-Mill 5K Race

   Over 600 participated in this year's race!!!

On June 7, 2009, both a 5K race and a 2 mile walk took place to benefit the Makara Foundation.

The Susan and Chelsea Makara Foundation was founded by Stan Makara in 2006 as a tribute to his wife and daughter who perished in an automobile collision that year.  The Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports local youth development and programs that embody the qualities that these two women exemplified during their lifetimes; i.e. self-respect, academic excellence, athletic achievement, and a love of life.

This certified 5K race is an annual event, and the race begins and ends at the Prallsville Mill in Stockton, NJ.
